How can I be more consistent?
This is the question I’ve been working with lately…
My intention this year is to Emerge Into My Highest Self….I’m doing this through writing and specifically getting my voice, presence and gifts out in the world (so you'll be seeing and hearing from me a lot more frequently, yay!) There are so many projects I want to create, so many facets of self care I want to continue to integrate and so many things I'm excited about doing. And within these desires and excitement, sometimes my progress isn’t quite what I’d like it to be because I can get overwhelmed or distracted...don't we all?
So how do I nurture the element of Consistency in my life?
I love to call upon Nature to help me answer my questions….
What is consistent in Nature?
How is it that flower bulbs pop up beautifully every spring?
That the sun rises and sets every day?
That the tides rise and fall so frequently with a soft rhythm?
Even nature’s ‘consistency’ isn’t precisely consistent, she emerges with a little surprise for us each day....an invitation to be open to the unexpected gifts consistency offers.
11 tips to nurture your Consistency
I developed these as a 'reminders list' for myself and
it has really helped me make the progress I desire, give them a try!
1. Find the feeling of pleasure within your task
Tune into the feelings of enjoyment, satisfaction, gratification, delight while you’re doing your task or have completed it. What is it about your process that offers you deeply gratifying ease and brings a soft smile to your face?
2. Consider your task a gift to yourself and to others
Your task will help you create what you desire which is the best gift you could give yourself. Plus your positive efforts create a ripple effect in the world, inspiring others!
Eliminate non-essential doing
Pretty. Straight. Forward.
4. Remember WHY you are choosing to do this task
WHY we do what we do is the powerful secret ingredient to this formula.
If you don't know WHY you're doing something, then what's the point?
Write down your reasons and keep this somewhere you'll see it daily.
5. Feel your Empowered Self
Each step you take and each time you're consistent, you bring yourself into
alignment with your best and highest self.
Only you can empower YOU.
6. Explore your resistance
When you start to waiver from your consistency, take some time to sit in stillness or meditation.
Tune into your heart and ask yourself: What do I need right now? Why do I feel this resistance?
Listen for the answers, they will come.
7. Trust your intuition
