Often when you go into a restaurant and the hostess sees you're alone (even if you may be meeting friends there shortly) typically he or she inquires "Just one?" There's an implication of simplifying, reducing, not enoughness with the word Just. I've practiced eliminating this word from my conscious speaking for many reasons... it reduces what I'm saying, it dims my brightness, hides me in the second row, makes me feel like not a big deal, lessons my power and dampens my heat.
"Just one?" implies that its a bummer that it's only you...that you are alone, when really it's quite the opposite. Yes, it's ME: one unique ME...similar to One Love. In fact, break down the word alone----> al one = All One! One soul, one body, one heart, one unique Self walking within this world. We live in a society where often it's perceived that two is better than one, more is better than one, more, more, more. More isn't always satisfying to our psyche, our spirit, our soul, our belly. Isn't the first bite of your meal always the most delicious?
The simplicity of Oneness allows you to hear your heart, your guidance, your passion and to connect with yourself in simple yet profound ways. Exploring Oneness with your Self, with nature, with your neighbor, your community, and your planet is life's greatest offering. Step into your Oneness with an open heart so that you experience the fullness created by this simplicity.
And the next time you're asked "Just one?" respond with a fullness in your heart, a beautiful smile on your face and say to the hostess: 'Your best table for Oneness please.'
