What is ReikiYoga? Restorative Yoga + Reiki = Nourishment In this unique offering I weave together a restorative yoga sequence and the healing touch of Reiki to nourish your physical, mental and energetic bodies. This wholesome practice replenishes the body, creates a sense of clarity and brings a graceful balance to your mind, body, heart and spirit.
Weekly Classes at Seattle Yoga Arts Gentle Yoga with Reiki ~ Tuesdays 4:00pm This unique blend of gentle, yin-inspired yoga with the healing touch of Reiki calms the nervous system and nourishes both the physical and subtle body. As you tune into your inner awareness through your breath, you'll create a quiet space in which to cultivate compassion and tenderness. Reiki touch supports the body's natural healing processes and helps develop emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. Reiki has been shown to have a positive effect on the autonomic nervous system, slowing heart rate and lowering blood pressure, and there is strong evidence to support that Reiki therapy may be effective in relieving pain and anxiety. This rejuvenating, prop-supported, long-hold sequenced class is gentle enough for students of all levels. Please dress in layers and bring socks for additional comfort. Slow Flow with Supportive Touch ~ Tuesdays 7:15pm This all levels class combines the gentle art of intentional touch with a stress releasing movement practice. Kathryn Buchard will lead a slow-flowing sequence that includes longer holds in familiar shapes. As you gently settle into each posture, Dana will offer supportive, hands-on assists and compassionate touch to help you find a sense of both strength and ease.
